Is any of this true? I don't know anything about the app, so can only go on what the article says. It would be interesting to hear comments from any approgrammers on here.

usually theReg is the best source for IT news. It does not address this specifically but the data protection is not great atm.

That's a different app, though, isn't it? The one in the article above is specifically for care workers and not for contact tracing.
