  • What site were those fake Erika straps on?

    WatchGecko, but no more.

@bsb did you manage to find an alternative?

  • This is definitely on my list, as you say not available yet but is limited and they do a great version only available from seiko boutiques as well. For me these are an absolute win, really want try one on but I'm sure they'll go sharpish before evening hitting many physical stores.

  • We're in lockdown... this is my 'who gives a fuck what time it is' statement piece.

Glorious Japanese movement. Hand polished bezels. NJS.

  • Both.

    His & Hers innit

  • Same daily.

  • You can get them on Aliexpress and Wish too, search "parachute watch band" or similar. Dunno about quality compared to Erikas or moody Erikas from WatchGecko. They look fine though, I'd wager they are the same as the WatchGecko ones.

  • It is nice indeed. As mentioned before, Seiko pricing is a bit adventurous at the moment - will it be £300 or £4.5k?

  • Its around £1200 I believe. The exclusive version comes on a rubber band but the dial looks amazing colour wise.

Edit: Sorry getting confused. The gilt version with a brown tone dial comes on the strap (SPB147), I want the equivalent to the one @Howard showed but with the brown/grey dial SPB145.

  • I really like this even more without the Seiko logo on it. How thick is it? Also is that the blue dial?

  • It's 14mm and black dial. Any colour there is coating.

  • I have purchased this one from eBay but have not received it yet. Will report when I have!

  • 🍰

  • I’m quite tempted with a Grand Seiko sporting the 9F movement. I like the SBGX263 but not 100%. I’d like some suggestions please.

  • Rhubarb or strawberry?

  • Those are a great size and have a nice brushed bracelet. What are your criteria? They do a 44GS style quartz model that's way thinner than the mechanical ones, which helps hugely with how it wears. Beautiful case shape but it is very shiny and will attract a lot more attention than the 37mm ones.

  • Do I know this watch? If I do I must have forgotten you had it.

  • No more than 40mm, not too shiny (Are there any not shiny GS?), I prefer brushed over mirror polished any day (apart from the Tudor BB 36 which I mentioned above, something about the curves on that polished case speaks to me). Not fussed about the date, can be with or without. I guess I want it to be the “always ready” smart everyday watch.

  • Hard to beat the one you suggested then, really. The sides of those are polished (including the sides of the bracelet) but the tops are brushed and that makes a big difference.

Only suggestion otherwise would be the black dial variant - I feel the GS dial furniture really suits a black dial.

  • Thanks for that. I was trying to search "watch strap" which showed up literally no results, but "watch band" worked.

  • Helsons represent!

  • Fossil have a promo on with stackable codes for their WearOS watches.

I've got a smart watch already but I am liking the look of the Pepsi version.

The Fossil Gen5 watches are supposed to be the best WearOS ones out there (not as good as the Apple ones though) but it does look like a 'proper watch'.

    Tempted for £166...

EDIT : Not able to replace the battery which is a deal breaker.
