At the same time I can recommend adding a braze on to the seat stay as well to mount extra bottle cages! The rack eyelet works well as the bottom bottle mount. Comes in very handy for the 3 for £5 beer offers. Wine bottles also just clear the heal 👌
Actually I'd also remove the exposed gear shifter cable stopouts and replace with full length housing mounts. A few times I've had to upend the bike and de-clog the cable under the bottom bracket of mud so I could change gear

If you can't add a braze-on I have used a lot of electrical tape in the past for the top mount, mudguard mount for the bottom.
