  • Apologies if this isn't the right thread to post this, but I bought a Christopher Ward a while back, very happy with it, and recently received a £100 voucher from them. I don't have any plans to use it and it seems a shame for it to go to waste so was wondering if anyone here would like it? I'm based in London E14 for collection or could mail it if the taker covers postage. Please pm if interested, cheers:

  • FYI the voucher code is clearly visible in your post, so meeting would be unnecessary.

  • Good point, amended, I suppose if only the voucher code is needed I can just forward it to whoever wants this, ta.

  • I have one as well, if anyone wants it.

  • Is there some meaning behind that CW logo?

  • I believe it is a take on the Swiss flag?

  • Don't wear this very often but I like it (click on it and it becomes bigger and clearer)

  • It’s a combination of the Swiss and English flags. I.e., they are the inverse of each other, so it makes that pattern if you put them next to each other.

  • I have a Christopher Ward voucher as well, I think the code is just something like Sale100 (no idea where it went to check) so no restrictions on everyone using it?

  • Yup, me too. They send one out every couple of months...

  • Nice, really like the BB 36, would go black too. Be great if they did a non S&G jubilee bracelet to try as well. Think they messed up on the S&G by not polishing the bezel but prefer the black anyway.

  • Watch winders - I think I really do want one, being in quarantine means that I don't wear a watch for days, then when I go out they're all kaput.

I've got four automatics - is there a four bay winder, or a two bay that I can buy a pair of that are cheap but good?

  • Depends what you mean by cheap. If you skimp too much you'll end up with a noisy winder that you won't want to keep turned on.

This is the catalogue for the ones that Alsal sell. I've got a one watch one. Its a good device but I don't use it much.

  • Yes, definitely going black!
Would be interesting to see it on a jubilee for sure.

  • Wolf is another brand you can consider. Slightly more dear.

  • Lots to think about...

Some have features like, some can be set between 300 and 1200 TPD (turns per day). Double the amount of TPD by selecting bi-directional

Directional Settings: Clockwise, Counter Clockwise and Bi-directional

Timer so that it doesnt run while youre sleeping. Or vice versa

    Digital diplays.

    Battery / mains.

    Displays cases.

  • Invest now and have a home for all your future buys.

  • What's coming out?

    Beatz? 😊

  • Jeez, how much would that set you back?

  • Would anyone care to explain the need for a winder please. If you don’t use one has it a detrimental affect on an automatic?

  • From what I understand - setting up (for example) a perpetual calendar is a pain. So, basically if you have very complicated watch, and want to wear it every Sunday - get a watch winder, so you don’t have to sit there for however long it takes to set the watch up again.

You can always just wear it, and not care if it shows the correct time too, I guess :-)
