The spec on these bikes is pretty shocking for nearly 2 thousand pounds. I get that the battery and motor make up most of the cost.

Would personally avoid anything with one of those steel 50mm travel suspension forks. Without maintenance they'll seize up in a year or two and just be an extremely heavy rigid fork

yeah the lithium batteries are still pricey, even the Chinese ones and sadly disposable. All e-motor stuff is STILL too pricey (cars), its a shame.

£2 isnt that bad tbh. Its getting lower.

For sure. Comparing to standard bikes where 2k gets you a carbon road bike with 105 or Alloy and ultegra, 2k for an ebike gets you 8 speed and no brand square taper cranks and tektro brakes
