It's a beige box with some dials and numbers and stuff on.

Beige. Copy that.
Connected to a bit of cotton wool soaked in borax solution?

Mosaic this time.

I've never witnessed him playing with it, but there's definitely a solution you don't want to spill on your hoody because it makes holes in it. It's marked "do not drink".

But in a moment of desperation you had a swig?

Very nice

I’m expecting it will, deposit’s been made and design approved. Got some parts coming in any time soon.

You won't regret it :)

Sounds like the majority of fluids in my kitchen. Which currently includes, as well as boring stuff like milk and wine, some IPA (IsoPropyl Alcohol, not Indian Pale Ale), Acetone, MEKK, latex solution, 98% pure ammonia, propylene glycol and some very strong caustic soda solution.
There's also a blender with a big sticker on it saying 'Not for food use' and a slow cooker full of paraffin wax. And other stuff.
I'm not sure the word kitchen is really appropriate, frankly. Laboratory might be more apt.

Sounds like the stuff I put in my 'disposal' bath

Doing it wrong then. The disposal bath should use acid. Preferably fuming nitric. Anodising titanium should involve alkaline solutions.

Thanks for the tip!
Now, if only my alibi was as cast iron as my bath...

If you do a good job with the body, you don't have to worry about an alibi. Very difficult to work out time of death when the body's been flushed down the drains and is has been turned back into tap water...

That's weird, I thought the bits that got hot were meant to be the weak bits.

Whenever I've heard of a Ti frame cracking it always ends up being a Litespeed. Is this a small sample /anecdote problem or is this a thing?
-
• #1271
It would be interesting to know who makes the most Ti frames. I'd guess that Lightspeed / Lynskey are a significant proportion of all the Ti frames out there. And have the most reports of cracks.
Disclaimer - I own a Lynskey (no crack, touch wood!)

I have talked to a guy here that's on his 3rd warranty frame. Must be a thing

Didn't Van Nicholas have numerous issues a few years ago?
-

A friend had a frame (not Litespeed) go like that - kinda stepped along the middle of the chainstay, his was replaced (twice possibly) under a lifetime warranty, had certainly done plenty miles but not been hammered

Ooof, that's nice. What is he using as a power source for the anodizing? I fancy trying a bit of titanium anodising myself.
