Ubiquiti users - I've lost a Switch, and I can't find it on the network

What I mean to say is, I can't connect to it over http / ssh / ping

I have 3 switches, connected like the below picture - I can see Switch 1 and Switch 2 with no trouble

Anything I connect to Switch 3 does actaully work though, so it's performing as expected

Have I confused things by daisy-chaining too many things together?.

They're all Toughswitches - two 5 ports, and one 8 port, connected to an Edgemax router.

Switch 3 wasn't actually static IP and has gone to a different IP?

Switches are switches... it still works. Lack of visibility is it's controller not being where you expect it (the IP of it) or the controller having crashed (it can happen even on embedded systems).

It won't affect the capability of a switch, because that's just raw hardware.

That makes sense.

After nmapping and pinging a few thousand addresses, I just reset it & took the opportunity to update the firmware.

Then I lost on of the other switches...

It's back now, though, and it means I can now troubleshoot a dead / dying NAS
