  • Thank you to everyone who has donated. the project is now coming to a close due to work commitments.

  • @spicknspangled
    Any 26" stuff that I left behind could give to this?

  • I’ve got a saddle ,tyres,seatposts.
    In SE6.

  • This is awesome thanks everyone. I'm picking up some bikes this week so will be matching replacement parts to bikes on Saturday. Will be in touch.

  • Have some various brake stuff: levers / calipers, PM if you want me to post

    PM'd

  • OP updated

  • Go ask the boys at the bike project down in deptford!

    They may have some old tyres n stuff laying about.

  • Good shout! I'm in touch with Blue Door Bikes, my LBS, who might do me a deal on a bunch of stuff.

  • Hi, for any NHS workers looking at this thread - Brooks are giving away running shoes tomorrow at 2pm: https://www.runnersworld.com/uk/news/a32082316/brooks-donate-shoes-to-healthcare-workers/

  • was today, not tomorrow

  • Just seen around seven MTB wheels in a skip in Hendon, north London. Not sure if a skip raid would be going too far even for a charity cause, but if not then it's an option. And of course if you're not in north London it probably wouldn't be practical. If you did come up here then you could also visit me nearby and I can give you some old NOS innertubes which should still be ok.

  • Thanks for the offer, good for tubes and wheels ATM.

  • I'd like to shout out to the kind people who have made contributions so far. It's really helped! If you have something that might be of use or you want to donate please DM. I have new bikes with bits missing coming in regularly so the things I need change day to day.

    THANK YOU
    @wot Brand new 700c hybrid tyres
    @knowthejo Tons of cabling, noodles, track nuts and a saddle
    @knowthejo AND a paypal donation, i forgot you were the same person. Really generous.
    @konadefer MILLIONS of cable ends.
    @Pasty_Spumante inner tubes
    @JJ72 Brand new Freewheel, lights and chain

  • Info about some of the people who have benefitted can be found here

  • That's fantastic, well done.

  • Thanks to @Squaredisk and @wot for fresh brake blocks and tyres on this apollo for nurse Brittany at UCLH.

  • I've got a whole bunch of part worn 700c 23 tyres I would like to go to good homes/owners, likewise a complete/rideable but ratty French 'racer' bike, around a 55cm frame. Also got loads of used but usable brake and gear inner cables, tons of brake levers and old brake callipers, some beater saddles... any use to you?

  • Thanks man, where are you based? Sometimes have bikes come in with broken or missing saddles.

    For tyres I'm looking for 28mm and bigger, with puncture protection if possible, for hybrids and town bikes.

    I no longer have transport for complete bikes as I quit my job at Pedal Me and gave the cargo bike back. However if demand remains high and you are not too far away I could get a courier.

    Thanks again and I will keep your offers in mind, my list of requests for bikes and donated bikes is constantly changing.
