Defo some silver skewers when funds allow. Will probably be pricey to get ones as light as the mavic ones on there now. But thanks! DM coming about the seatpost.

Shimano QR skewers or don't bother changing. They're excellent - and most 'light' skewers are rubbish (i.e. they don't clamp very well).

So, the build is neaaaaarly complete.
Chrome Thomson collar pending due to lack of funds. Spraying the cable stops black pending due to a touch of laziness.
Will update probably when its all together but for now a picture before my ride this morning. Psyched to say the least.

Looks like a weapon!

Does look good, silver seat collar worth the effort but I wouldn’t bother spraying the cable stops, assuming the cable stops are the bits I think they are....

Appreciate the comments! Silver collar purchased and chucked on, just looking for some black cable stops as I've convinced myself out of spraying the ones I have, anyone know of any? Can only seem to find some in Taiwan and I'm a touch too impatient for that..

Just seen this. Definitely one of my new favourite forum bikes. 10/10.

Nice build! Love how these old school frames look with modern parts on it.
Did you ever put on the original fork after you put on the new parts? I am not sure if it works on this build, but I think it is great to keep a frameset original. It is something of an acquired taste, but I love how these slim forks work on big tube frames like the Zipp 2001.

Soooo.. I have just purchased @jono84 Cannondale CAAD5 Track from him this weekend (thank you again!). So it’s time to build my second bit of aluminium goodness.
Brought to replace my daily beater as I just can’t deal with the headaches anymore and I can now leave my bike safely in the office not on the street.
Plans are coming together and I’ll update the thread when parts begin to arrive.

Coming together.
Managed to get a seat of DA hubs laced to some Tokyo Track carbon wheels for a pretty good deal on eBay.
Some more parts arriving today / tomorrow and will try and get a full shot of it coming together.
