I've done that recently.
We had a Miele which was really good but I found parts of it a faff. The bag, the fact that it doesn't hang on a wall, charging it. I know, I'm hugely lazy.
But the fact is, I hoover a lot more often because I have a Dyson V6 on the kitchen wall that I can grab and hoover the car, or take upstairs really easily.
(I also bought a £50 Nilfisk from Toolstation for dust extraction from indoor sanding and it's also really good.)

I'd like to announce that over the weekend I completely disassembled and cleaned my Dyson V6. Surprisingly satisfying.
