Depends on the model. Most of the actives have volume control so you could just plug a streamer/phono amp into their analog input, possibly a digital input on aes or coaxial which would work with a lot of contemporary music players.

OT a bit, but do you have any idea whether the JVC LF-X22 automatic turntable was any good? After a cheap table to test drive all my old vinyl prior to getting rid of it all! Looking at this one local to me

that jvc is garbage, biggest give away is the tonearm, if you want a decent technics for 100 i can sort you out

I've got a Denon PMA-350 that's a bit flakey.

I wanted a smaller amp. Maybe I keep looking.
