And I already said the 25mm stack Syntace FlatForce won't do.

Excuse me!
You asked for help, and now you're complaining when you get it.

You're not helping if you make suggestions which are already ruled out by my original enquiry 🙂

A lot of people seem to have beef with Cannondale warranty/afterslales - As far as I'm aware this has absolutley nothing to do Cannnondale, it is CSG who your beef lies with.
Juyst an FYI.

CSG and Cannondale are both owned by Dorel, so it's either Dorel not supporting Cannondale or it's Cannondale either not knowing or not caring that their distributor doesn't give a shit about end users. To an end user, the distinction is meaningless; bad support reflects badly on the brand, nobody gives a fuck which scumbag private equity company is ultimately pulling the strings.

This is true, but not everybody in the world is angry as you, so some might like to know that that due to the way conglomorate corporations like Dorel opperate, its not just as simple as "it's Cannondales fault"
Yes, its a shame that most big bike manfacturers are owned by 'scumbag private equity' companies these days, but unfortunately thats just the way the world works, because capitalism.
-
• #12585
because capitalism.
That's a whole nother question, and my "scumbag" epithet was just playing to the crowd here.
I'm not even angry, having never owned a Crackenfail nor been tempted to. If even I know they dont care about end users, nobody who bought one in 2017 has much right to be pissed off at Cannondale/CSG/Dorel, they should be angry with themselves for failing to do due diligence. As usual with consumer capitalism, the customers are the root of the problem, they ask for something and they get it. If enough of them asked for something different, there would be entrepreneurs ready to give it to them.

I'm not angry, I'm incredibly chilled right now, and while I do have a Cannondale I'm thinking of selling it anyway. But I fail to see how CSG being utterly useless isn't Cannondale's fault in any way. CSG are Cannondale's distributor. Cannondale chose CSG to be their distributor. If they're shit, then it's just as much Cannondale's fault for chosing a bunch of uninterested muppets to act as their distributor, and not replacing them with another firm who can be arsed to do the job properly.

My angry comment was aimed at Tester, not at you at all.
Again, (as far as I'm aware) Cannondale didnt 'choose' CSG - CSG was created, and subsequently placed in charge of distribution by the parent company Dorel. I highly doubt Cannondale has any say whatsoever in the way their products are sold/distributed these days.
I'm not in a position to get sucked into an argument about this, so wont comment further - I just wanted to let you know that you will probably get quicker results with any aftersales issues by focusing your efforts, and frustrations on CSG. I doubt trying to raise the issuse with Cannondale directly will get you anywhere at all.
Was trying to assist, not get into an argument.

I appreciate that, and I'm not trying to either start or get sucked into an argument either. Sadly, even polite and reasoned disagreement On Here seems to get treated as an argument these days.

Cannondale were shit in the U.K. before the Dorel/CSG days. Pretty crap in Europe too for the most part.
Great if you were in the US. Funny that.
I suspect the CSG outfit in the U.K. retains the happy go lucky and a bit Dell Boy spirit of their full time privately owned distributer past (Hotwheels? I can’t remember).
-
• #12590
Hotwheels?
Yes, it does look like CSG(UK) was created as a SPV by Dorel to buy Hotwheels and convert them into a Dorel-focused distributor.

i couldn't give a shit about the public though to be fair

Cheap CAAD9 frameset in a good size/colour if you can collect

Spotted this yesterday. The same seller has a beautiful CAAD7 for sale too.

Doing some work on a couple of bikes today I had to move my CAAD9 SAECO frame out of the way again. I'm never going to build this up - and really should not have given into temptation and bought it. Does anyone want to give it a good home?
28mm stack? Only 3mm less than the normal gap.
