vintage WI 96bcd chainset would be good on this for sure.
What about my ritchey ones?
-
• #3654
They are cute as fΓ₯ck
-

Surely it's lack of taste and aesthetic aptitude more than anything.
What model woodman is this? Very into it.

I downt spweak fancy UK any longer so your meaning is lost on me. Say it again but slowly.

Whatβs that for?

• #3665
Sometimes you need to say no to a customer...
-
• #3666
Yes. English is not too good at that.
But to be fair a lot of frame builders are craftsmen not designers. -
• #3667
I think he would be surprised not to be described as a designer, as well as a craftsman.
-
• #3668
100% case in point

Well I think youβre being a bunch of naysayers. I dont know where the graphics comes from, guessing aviation. But i think its bold and looks so much better than a gazillion air brush-jerk off designs the world has seen. And rando-plain can be quite boring. Im not saying that it would be a great idea to go al out fire truck. Just that I dont think that English is so terrible. But hey, smaken Γ€r som baken, delad.
Also, mtb looks great Hulsroy! :-)

• #3670
That ain't the worst English ive seen.
-
• #3671
I guess some of the taking on any challenge has resulted in some really intresting frames though. Particularly like the righty
-
• #3672
On one hand I think we should not discuss taste up in here. Nothing good will come from it.
On the other hand, do you really think that is a good looking bike?
The baby blue, brown rubber and red accents clash.
The dropouts interface looks clunky.
And worst of all the soulless 90s photoshoot backdrop makes me sigh. -
• #3673
I agree on debating taste... and agree on that colorscheme and those brakes, but otherwise I really like the engineering challenge of the frame. Even if it is a solution to a problem which did not exist.
-
• #3674
Thanks man.
I think it is about details, composition, thoughtful engineering/tectonics, fabrication quality/material choices, price point and timeless understated graphics and obviously the most elegant geometry version of the required fit and intended use.

tectonics
What is the meaning of tectonics here? I haven't seen it used in this context before.
The ENO ones come up on ebay every now and then and aren't silly expensive.
