Had a late night, but managed to complete the roof rack so I can bring bikes on family visits.

The rubber gaskets are temporary. Once the bits have been coated I'll add heli tape to the rails. This will mean the clamp sit better and tighter.

Is there anything you can't make? Great work

Are there are security issues with Allen bolts or did l miss something?

I thinking about getting a blue CK for it. But for now I have a quite nice Goldy looking Woodman headset.

The bike rack comes off easily so I'll unbolt those, but I am leaving the traverse rails on there permanently I think. I need it for hauling plywood sheets etc

That makes perfect sense.
How did you bend the plates to shape that wrap around the roof rails.
They look to be at least 10mm thick.

Very large bolts in the floor presumably.

It is mild steel and bending grade so not that hard to bend

The wish list contains:

• Better/flashier brakes
  
• Single speed specific wheels with silver spokes
  
• All blue or all white flite

In all seriousness though, it's turned out really well.

I have klampers, but I am saving those for something special.

A vintage WI 96bcd chainset would be good on this for sure. I would not be abl to afford a newer one...
