Just taken on a plot, 3 poles with some strawberry already in flower and a big rhubarb also in flower plus a whole lot of work to do!
Too late to use any rhubarb now? The chap "next door" said just cut it all down to ground and it'll spring back next year.
The general rule of thumb we applied to rhubarb was to stop cropping from midsummer's day to give the plant time to recover for next year. It worked well, especially if you pile on the horse manure in the autumn.
