Hi folks, new here. Thought I'd share the start of this project. This is a dream build for me, always had to use what I could get cheap as money isn't very forthcoming! But we got a bit and I wanted to treat myself to a gorgeous bike build. These frames are stunning and I wanted to compliment it with the some of the best modern components to build a bike that is lovely to look at and to ride. I've still got some more bits to save up for and am going to build the wheels myself but I thought I'd wack all the bits on and see how the bike looks. It will be highlighted with pink hubs, jockey wheels and tape etc to contrast with the blue. Lovely
Stunning frame. I had a Superprestige in the same finish but red - selling it is still my greatest ever regret! An absolute joy to ride. So smooth and light.
Might work with a silver Ahead stem?
Also intrigued with the red frame hanging up behind - what is it?!
The red frame is an Alan Competizione from '82. Lovely frame both to look at and ride. I haven't found any of this issues some others have had in early aluminium glued and screwed frames
