Deda Superleggera is one of the few nice options out there.

Agreed. I ran a Deda Superleggera on my Donohue with an ahead conversion & think I got away with it (opinions may vary). They're lovely stems. Modern bars are way more comfortable than the limited set of quill stem suitable options in my experience.

Without wanting to hijack the thread obviously but here's another example of the Superleggero working nicely with a classic frame.
