• Hello everyone

I’m looking for a few bits for a cheapish bike build for my sister in law. I need:

SRAM 11 speed rear mech ideally medium or long cage. MTB would be ok I think.
    700c wheels - shimano freehub
Shimano / SRAM chainset, preferably silver, 170mm or shorter please
Road brake callipers, also preferably silver
Drop bars, silver, 42cm max. 26mm dia.
And, long shot but silver seatpost 24mm!

If you have any of these that you are looking to sell, please give me a shout. Thanks!

    Dave

  • I have SRAM Red silver calipers if you've got a few quid?

  • i might have a rival 22 long cage mech, lemme check tomorrow

  • Thanks, that’s a bit out of budget though!

  • That would be great, thanks

  • Bars and seatpost are sorted now, thanks.

Still looking for RD, wheels, chainset and brake callipers!

  • I've got a tiagra 4700 chainset in 170mm if interested.

  • That’s brilliant, Im pretty sure that will work with a rival road shifter, do you know if that’s right?

  • Thank you, can I come back to you? I think silver would be preferable but may take you up on this

  • I've also got an old tiagra at 17omm much more used ...

    edit: it's got more silver

  • no i dont think it will. you mentionned mtb

  • Would be great if you could pm me a picture!

  • I thought SRAM road and MTB 11 speed work together. If not, then I guess I will keep looking for a road RD. Thanks anyway!

  • maybe i'm wrong, but X-actuation ( mtb) has a different cable pull than exact-actuation (road/cx)

  • older mtb derailleurs use exact actuation. And you can use a 10 speed one and adjust it to shift 11. Am I wrong?

  • New Shimano RS 11 Wheel set £65 ...collected

  • Where would I need to collect from?

  • I would rather not take the risk of the shifter and rd not working together, will just look for a road rd

  • West London W106ET....

Have a new set of tires and inner tubes 700 x 32 Vitoria Randonneur Tech ,I can include for an extra tenner ...

  • Here is the old tiagra one ... need to borrow a friends tool to get it off the bike so let me know.

  • Hey there.
I have some really nice FSA Energy brake callipers. They are black though. New they were over £90. They do need new pads but could post for £40 if you'd like. Cheers and hope you're well, you're doing amazing things with all your project bikes. T

  • @user77460 @r_mash thanks so much, I will get back to you ASAP. It’s actually my brother doing the build, I’m just helping to find parts, so I will let you know as soon as I hear back from him.

@tomsvoboda thanks Tom, just need to check the brake drop but those sound great. I’m loving the Peugeot 753 you sold me a couple of years ago! Likewise, I’m a bit in awe of your amazing build projects!

  • Ok, many thanks to everyone who looked and especially those who offered parts. My brother has decided to buy the bits he is looking for new so will not need any of these.

Sincere apologies for time wasting! Thanks again
