I got some of the cable that is designed for burying so is fine naked but thanks for the tip.
I originally ordered some regular cable with the long range AP and only after I realised it would need to be an outdoor AP that also requires outdoor cable. - If like me you came to a cycling forum for networking tips and are reading this before embarking down a similar path then hopefully this will save someone some time :D.
