@yokes I get what you mean, use the bars to rise.. but even with them you reach a limit, and with the goofy bmx bars right there, what if I dont want my bars 90cm wide?
@MCamb, thats very kind of you - whats the rise like from center to center? - to put the larger question into perspective, I've got a £10, no brand quill stem here, which, at its maximum point raises the bars 22cm. And you can buy longer ones even, cheap as chips.

Carbon forks with a threaded steel steerer tube? is that even a thing?
Yes, it's definitely a thing. Well, it was a thing. Not sure whether anybody is still making one, so you'll be going back in time. Do you really want a 20 year old carbon fibre fork that's probably on it's third owner already?

Wound Up at least are still making them.

Odd that I would have missed that 😉

Removed decals from these FSA bars and painfully hand sanded the paint off my carbon forks

The Yates finally running.
There were grand plans of modern silver Italian shifting, but in the end swapping parts, fresh wheels and finding a skinny 26mm ahead stem was all that happened.

Trying to get a ghetto 1x10 drivetrain a bit smoother in the big cogs (got a narrow wide up front in the outer position of a double. Doesn’t fit in the inner). I’ve put another spacer behind the cassette, which has gained me 1mm. Is there anything else I can do that’s going to make things less click-ey when I’m pushing hard in the lower gears? Or is there a relevant thread as I couldn’t find one.

Compact geo with skinny tubes, nice. Shimano is perfectly fine, but that heel run on the cranks>>>>

I swear I've never seen a set of 5800 cranks without heel rub.

The colour made me do it, its very good!
I actually have a stem you can have that does that, it’s adjustable and for 25.4 bars.
