Should be, damage usually from continue to try try and start as the battery gets flatter. Think I have all the details of what to get from a motor factors but none are open at the mo. But then the details are on all aprilia sites.

Cheers man - I may take a deep breath and ask the owners group on facebook too. Being a triumph thunderbird 900 rider is a bit like being a Tool fan, it's hard to stomach the other riders/fans sometimes.

:) I think that goes for most Facebook groups.

That's really handy, cheers

A Perfect Circle were rubbish live, too.

Reading this isn't doing much to surpress my desire for a 750 SRAD, although interesting to hear the earlier carb models can be more responsive on the throttle. In suspension news yesterday was the first ride since sorting out my static sag on the RSV... what a revelation.

Yeah, thanks for that. Now you've dragged me into that fucking pit as well. I've found someone getting rid of a late 90's CBR600 and wants nearly nothing for it. I want it.

This is such a dangerous thread!

• #15236
Yeah...sorry about that. For me it's lines in the magazine like "prices are only going one way".

Hang on sunshine, are we going minty restoration or track fiend?

Rough around the edges track dog makes much more sense, but I'm a bit of a tart with these things.

Apparently the name for that is racestoration! There's a fetish for all it seems.
@PhilDAS If your eyes don't bleed looking at it, is it even a 90's bike

• #15242
You buy it and I'll look after it for you ;)
-
• #15243
Then the associated corrosion and fear. You seen what happens to anodised brake fittings?
-
• #15244
Yay welcome to motorbike ownership.
My one comment is how easy is it to get spare brake and clutch levers ;)

Chinese cheapy race fairings as they are cheaper than a paint job. Also that seat is uncomfortable.
Matt black is best then when you crash or drop is more matt black damage gone.

Now you get why I go on about setting the static sag on a bike. Want everyone to have that feeling.

• #15247
Oh 900 ss had one with factory sports pipes ...... lovely

• #15248
I need to see what it looks like first. The bike hasn't moved in years and it's in a few pieces. Does come with a second engine though and its all for a couple hundred quid.

I have a wee fetish for the steelie 600s - they were really handy when fettled. One of the all time great do it all bikes. Nearly bought one back in the day but I just HATED the gearbox and decided they weren't really my thing.
'race bike' in Ebay.co.uk at the moment is going to turn up some interesting material...

Not helping there mate. Not helping at all.
I don't even know the year. He thinks its a 2000. He started biking about a decade ago then gave it up after a couple of years, so doesn't sound like it's got mileage on it.Ahoy money pit!
Me too, me too. Start up was fine with RAC's battery pack so fingers crossed. As the kit is sold out through AP Workshops I've bought everything separately, albeit exactly the same parts.
