Regarding selling stolen bikes, every bike I've seen listed on Facebook Marketplace seems to sell in under an hour at the moment so I imagine that is where thieves are moving them on. Worth keeping an eye on it along with Gumtree, Shpock etc
Shit I need to check there. Someone on Facebook told me to post my bike as an ad requesting people not to buy / keep an eye out for it in the item title. What do you think?
No I wouldn't do that. If the seller/thief sees that then they're likely to dump/destroy/sell offline and you'll never see it again.
Best case scenario is you find it for sale online and are able to arrange to buy it with the seller then inform the police or go get it with the boys.
I agree with Phil, that would do more harm than good. Unfortunately it's pretty unlikely to turn up but worth keeping an eye on.
What frame have you got? There's plenty of parts and knowledge floating around here, I'm sure you can get something built that won't break the bank
