If half of these races go ahead I’ll be amazed. As a rider, would you fancy breaking something and spending a night or two in an Italian hospital?

Given the statements from Riis the other day it seems that at least one team owner seems to think that riders should be putting themselves at risk for the sport and not just during the actual riding. Thank god the riders union is a functional, well managed organisation that isn’t in the pocket of the race organisers and the UCI eh?

Current French government position is that there should be no sporting events until the end of August too-which would set them at odds with ASO-or has this changed?
