I'd be very tempted to put an offer in on this if I actually knew anything about them and knew what I was getting. Don't know why but I do like them.

I've decided I really really want an oysterquartz... This one is a stunner!

I like these a lot too. There’s one full set for sale on TZ-UK. Although white dial I think. Asking £4500.
But out of my price range, I’m saving up for a Grand Seiko with 9F quartz movement in it. -

Is that how you do the NATO?

It's certainly how I would NATO

looking for a distressed/ weathered leather strap like this (but not that actual one as it's thinner than it looks irl):

any suggestions?

Buy a new one.
Put it in a ziplock with coins.
Shake until done. -

They have it on gnomon: https://www.gnomonwatches.com/collections/accessories/products/black-elastique-strap
Or on various etsy or eBay or Ali express stores. Look for "French nato strap" or "marine nationale strap" or "elastic nato" or some combination thereof.

Done, kept strap in places, thanks!

Has anyone seen the new 'son of SKX' SRPD Seiko 5s yet? Thoughts?
-
• #44115
Nice squale .
I’m a big fan ... decent watch , case ,movement .. decent price -
• #44116
Only in a case, not tried one on. Visually I thought they looked “nicer” than the SKX. Case a bit less blobby and the dials were nice, with the polished metal hour marker surrounds it looked more on a par with a Turtle than the printed SKX dials.

Anyone have any opinions / thoughts on the 41mm navitimers? ETA based movement. Kind of fancy one which makes me suspicious.
-
• #44118
Not seen in the flesh but like the all blue variant they released. A fair few were going for decent prices recently, close to £200 on the bracelet. By the time Id thought about it, refreshed the page and was gone.

The Breitling looks like I stuck it together in photoshop.

I like the Navitimer 8 range. The older Navitimers are a bit large for my preferences/wrists. But in general I think Breitling do a lot of nice dials at the moment and their cases are good. And the Navitimer has great heritage. I reckon if it speaks to you then go for it.
Edit: 41mm isn't too big though. Is that a new model?

Love an Oysterquartz, looks great!

Last year or year before I think. I can’t remember seeing them around - I’ve only seen the massive 45mm / 47mm which is why my impression of Navitimers is a dinner plate.
Apparently there’s a unisex 38mm too

Yeah, that’s a render I guess. Real, I think:
-
• #44124
Think that's also a render/comp. Here's a couple of photographs...
-
• #44125
I quite like it. Not sure if it's the render but things i'd need to square with myself are:
-not convinced by the copper brown
-are the hands too short (might just be the render flatening the internal bezel slope)
-the date background glares a bit against the dial, annoying they haven't done the date background the same colour - weirdly, the blue one @regal posted below has sorted this out.
But whatever you do, don't go and spunk £20k on a Hublot with a Selita inside.
Not because movement, because Hublot.
