I don't need the power, but its a combination of future proofing and willy waving I guess that draws me toward the MBP instead of the probably much more suitable for my needs Air.
That said, the Air is the same size and 100g lighter, so if we leave cash money to one side, there's not much point getting the Air instead of the Pro.
I'd likely get the one I posted the screenshot of, top CPU and RAM, but .5TB of storage as I don't think I need more.
