Anyone ever seen a leg hernia before? I’ve had one since I was at least 12 but have put 2 and 2 together and realised it’s probably the reason why my left foot feels “a bit odd” while running. Hard to describe but it feels like my left foot pronates/rolls differently. There’s a pair of soft lumps in the side of my leg and if you poke them, there’s a noticeable gap in the leg muscle. They don’t hurt and I can run decent distances at normal times but the left leg/foot definitely feels like it’s doing something different.
In terms of shoes, I’ve run in minimal/barefoot, neutral padded (Pegasus 28? And am currently using react flyknit things). Doesn’t seem to make much difference but I’ve done well in neutral/minimal shoes previously.
