Hi, what generation is the Play 1 (black), and would it work as an additional speaker to an Echo plus (not sure if the Play 1 has bluetooth)? Thanks.

As far as i know there is only one generation of Play 1.

The Sonos One (white) is Gen 1.

They will both work with Alexa, as in you can control the speaker with Alexa.. but they won't pair with the Echo plus and play at the same time. Neither speaker has bluetooth.

Thanks for the info - unfortunately (cos of the non-pairing) I don't think either will be suitable.
