  • I think the difference a few years ago was tuning. Weren't all the minitwin racers, highly tuned 85-90 hp beasts? If they're running relatively stock motors, it shouldn't really cost any more than the CB500 cup. Would be shit running a stocker against heavily developed race bikes though, you've got to be able to keep up with the last 3rd of the field at least to get anything out of it.

  • I think they've split the field in two now. Minitwin for as standard as it gets with very limited turning (fork internals and MC) and I think that's about it.
    Supertwin let's you go all out on the engine. JHS racing had some mad specimens. 95hp motors with Ti rods and cams.
    If I remember right, their bike set 120mph average at IOM.
