HDD: WD MyBook 4TB
USB 3.0 port (superspeed connector)
When I bootcamped my mac I could only spare 100gb to the partition and also soon found I had no way of access files between the two OS so picked this up.
The most budget 4k display I could get so I can work with dual display, play my ps4 pro and use roku stick to watch tv as no other entertainment sources in this room. annoyingly speakers are rubbish and volume control is very clunky with no remote. for £200 though it does the job. will need to sort sound out somehow eventually.
Console: PS4 4 PRO 1TB
4k 60fps HDR
HDMI 2.0
S/PDIF
Keyboard: Logitech K380 Bluetooth (x2)
I purchased one of these but soon found out that because the keyboard is pairing to the same bluetooth controller in OS X and Win 10 Bootcamp the input switching would not work and I'd have to use the laptop keyboard to repair it whenever i swapped OS. The keyboard itself is great and has key markings for both win and mac so the keys are where I expect them to be for each system, decided easiest thing was to get two and keep them paired to the specific os with a sticket to differentiate.
Mouse: Logitech MX Anywhere S2
Confusingly this has no such issue with pairing and handles 3 inputs perfectly, just have to tap the input button underneath when switch between OS
Broadcasting/Streaming Visual Specific Kit:
Overhead/Table Camera: Panasonic GX9 Micro four thirds camera
4k 30fps/1080p 60fps
mini hdmi out
I already had it so it'll do for now. works pretty well in testing though
Overhead/Table Camera External Power kit: DMW-DCC11 Coupler USB Power Kit
Dummy battery with a lead that allows me to power camera from usb as camera will not charge regular battery while in use.
** Overhead/Table Camera Capture Card:** Elgato Cam Link 4k
USB 3.0
HDMI input
Front-facing Camera: Razer Kiyo usb webcam with ring light
USB 3.0
Not my first choice but with webcams sold out everywhere I took what I could.
Green Screen Fabric: 3mx2m Chroma Key fabric & some spring clamps.
Cheap fabric just for me to test out green screen and see if it's worth using.
Lighting: Elgato Key Light (x2)
Wi-fi enabled
2900-7000K white balance temp
2500 lumen max brightness
being wifi controlled these can be adjusted using software on either my machine, my phone or even through stream deck peripheral, then can also be linked so changing one setting alters both lights.
Broadcasting/Streaming Audio Specific Kit:
Audio Interface: GoXLR Mini USB
XLR pre-amp
4 assignable faders to control sound, mute buttons for each channel, bleep & cough buttons
aux in / aux out / spdif in
I picked this interface because it creates a soundcard for each channel on the pc so you can assign inputs and outputs for each program individually allowing me to have discord on the chat fader, spotify on the music etc and control levels on the fly without looking at the computer.
** Microphone :** Rode Procaster Microphone
XLR
Dynamic mic
** Microphone gain lifter:** Triton Audio Fethead
25db clean gain
phantom powered
Gain needed for the procaster on the GoMini XLR was too high so I added this to allow me to get the increase elsewhere, now I can tweak mic settings without adding a ton of unnecessary noise at the same time.
** Microphone Shock Mount** Rode PSM-1 Shock Mount
** Microphone Boom Arm: ** Rode PSA-1 Swivel Mount Studio Arm
The procaster and shockmount are HEAVY especially with the fethead added to the mix, the rode arm is known for being one of the more robust arms and well matchy matchy.
Headphones: Steelseries Arctis 3
3.5mm jack
What I already had laying around. no real need to upgrade.
** Broadcasting/Streaming Helper Kit **
** Control Interface:** Elgato Stream Deck XL
32 oled programmable keys
usb 3.0
Allows at a glance control of most actions needed during streaming not covered by the GoXLR. Will become more useful as the streams become more evolved.
Set/Rigging/Misc
Table: Ikea Linnmon / Adils Table 150x75cm
A little limiting for my boardgaming but is all my space will allow also cheap as fucking chips.
Chair: Ikea Skruvsta Swivel Chair
Bucket style swivel chair that is not officey in appearance. upper is constructed of polystyrene and I broke my last one leaning out of it to reach something last year. but they're cheap and comfy just need to remember to not do that again
** Board Game Storage:** Ikea Kallax 4x4 cube shelving.
The go-to for storing board games as well as vinyl, cheap and does the job very well.
My current setup is as follows:
PC: Macbook Pro mid-2015
Intel i7-4870HQ 2.50ghz
Radeon R9 M370X
Win Pro 10 (bootcamp)
16gb ram
2x USB3.0 ports
2x Thunderbolt 2 ports
HDD: WD MyBook 4TB
USB 3.0 port (superspeed connector)
When I bootcamped my mac I could only spare 100gb to the partition and also soon found I had no way of access files between the two OS so picked this up.
Display: BenQ EL2870U - 4K 60hz HDR
2x HDMI
1x Displayport
1x 3.5mm headphone output
