Zero run miles for me in April. Is there a Strava badge for that?
Think this will be a fallow year.

I think mentally drained and very sleepy is part of the Corona crap.
Managed 200 miles during April. A very strong first half of the month and then things dropped off a bit.
I've started doing some strength and conditioning work for the first time ever. I can really feel it when running the day after. Hopefully it will pay off in the long run.
My watch has also gone missing. In the house. Can't find it anywhere.

Yeah possibly. Lost the verve for life a little but going to blast a stairs workout to hopefully ignite something.

I had the same yesterday but found some harder efforts during my run helped. Good luck with the stairs.

I can really feel it when running the day after.
Strength stuff in the gym was knocking me back more than I realised, now running is my only exercise I'm finding it so much easier.

I'm really missing the gym - I had a really nice routine of running, gym and swimming all working together. It's great to be out running more but there's something about the process of hitting specific muscles working out in the gym that I really miss

I've managed to sneak over 200 miles for two consecutive months for the first time in over a year. Nice to get some consistency back, particularly when I'm not flogging myself training for anything in particular.
I've missed indoor rowing since lock-down but have been compensating with regular ad hoc indoor exercises, mainly based around press-ups and random core/glute things. I was maxing out at 25 press-ups previously, now up to 40 and doing a few sets each day. Should probably do something more rowing-specific with bands but I'm happy just mixing it up a bit.

Went to check on Strava to see how much I'd done in April and I haven't run for over a month. Thought my last run was a couple of weeks ago, but time is both flying and standing still at the moment.
I'm doing a lot of cycling on the rollers at the moment, so at least am keeping fit.

Recommendations for running shorts that will hold my phone securely without jiggling about? Ideally with a zip pocket for keys too...
-

Decathlon kiprun have a pocket that fits an iPhone 7 perfectly (ie it goes in with effort and doesn’t jiggle). These ones:

Probably get a key or two in there too. But if I’m carrying phone, keys, and say office pass then I usually use a spibelt or similar neoprene holder

You've done 300km in a month! Were you originally training for a marathon? You HM times have been rapid.

• #22413
Thanks - I had been planning on doing the hackney half and Valencia marathon. I’m totally loving getting out running, don’t get me wrong. Think I just miss some of that variety and S&C work from the gym

I get that, miss the squat rack!

I managed 50km in April, I must clearly try harder.

one that I’ve never actually done anything to achieve, mind
Yeah my approach has been, run 5k 3x a week at what ever pace my legs let me. That 10k I ran the other day was my first 10k in over 5 years!!
Id like sub 40 before the summer is out I think though...

I just want to get back to where I was a few years ago.

Came 11th in the 30km trail race today, if only I hadn't got lost so many times I could have snuck into the top ten. Feet are fucked, legs are trashed, it was 33 degrees today so I'm massively dehydrated and sunburnt. Good day.

Managed to do a run I have wanted to do since lockdown started this morning - in to Central London. I definitely wasn't the only person with the idea of exploring a quiet Central London. It was nice being able to go down the big streets without dodging anyone.
