    Good point well made. If you slow them down with excessive or viscous lube, there's a chance that they won't have time to get in place to engage when you apply drive torque. Hub manufacturers who have very little else to say can be very prescriptive about ratchet lubrication, for good reason.

  • I am. Not thick grease though, and not excessive amounts, because like tester says, you can clog them so they don’t engage.
