I rode BPW on a trail bike (150/140), enjoyed it. I’m buying a 150/135, which is intended on taking to the alps, when things open up.
It’s not an Enduro bike, and frankly I’m struggling a bit with where (in the UK) and Enduro bike is needed.
However- would a trail bike be suitable for racing one of the EWS courses, if/when they open again? I’d like to give it a go, but I don’t know if they’d be too rough for my bike.
Depends on the rider and the course obviously but some of those tracks are steep so I think angles are at least as important as travel. Which one are you thinking of doing? I had half an eye on entering the EWS100 in Olargues.
Have you ever even looked at any proper EWS courses?
If you're using BPW as a barometer for the state of British off piste trails you're way fucking off.
I can take you to multiple places in the U.K. where an enduro bike is justified. Just give me a shout.
