I've got exactly that at the moment. 46/30 and 11-36, and a 42t single ring, with a 2×10 GX. Works well.

The only problem is you can't get hydro disks on SRAM 10 unless you use something like TRP Hylex I guess. I am massive cable disk fanboy but for some reason I've decided to switch to 11 speed

I just built a new bike and was torn between getting a complete as a value-for-money way of upping to 11 speed and full hydraulics, but stuck with 10 speed and bought flatmount HyRds. V v impressed with them tbh, having come from using JuinTech R1s
