  • That was like a newspaper to the nose for a misbehaving dog, not that I support that

Unless the dog is a racist, of course.

  • A lot of them are, but you should really blame the owners.

  • And shoot them accordingly.

  • Yeah-does happen a lot-saw a stat that something like 12% of recorded assaults in Scotland are drunken 'one punch' incidents that result in someone getting a serious injury, normally through cracking the back of their head on the way down.

But still. 'No serious harm resulted from the filming of this amusing Twatter fracas caveat etc.'

  • Like that twat that taught his dog to do a nazi salute?

Someone else should train their dog to punch his dog.

  • Padded highstreets would be wonderful.

  • My uncle trained his dog to bark at the word 'Celtic'. He wasn't a very pleasant man.

The dog was ok though. For being a sectarian bigot.

Cue abuse for not punching a Collie.

  • I wish I was sober enough to link the child owner stuff you were holding a grudge about earlier to dog owners in an amusing fashion.

  • Knew someone who got started on in Clapham High St. outside a bar. He pushed the guy as it started to kick-off and he went back and hit his head on the curb and died.

He ended up having to leave his job due to the spiraling depression that resulted.

  • Ah well, have another drink and something might come to you later on.

  • Nah, I think I like you you, overly long grudges and all.

  • I don't like violence anyway, last time I punched someone in anger was about 20 years ago, but I don't think I could deal with actually hurting someone, awful racist nazi that deserves it or not.

  • Only four are left operational as unabated coal will be banned from 2025 so it has made maintaining and investing in them uneconomical.

Currently no coal power has been generated in the last 18 days mainly due to lower demand due to industry being shut down and sunny weather.

  • Late to this convo but yeah, that guy deserves everything he got. Hope it really hurt.

Let's also fondly remember this great video where a dirty fash gets his head punched in. Happy days.

  • It's a dark feeling being the victim of racial abuse, very hard to know how to react in the moment. That little bop was deserved.

  • A flying sucker punch and couldn’t even floor him?

Violence is never justified as a response to what people say, maybe that’s why it’s against the law.

  • Yeah your right, the only thing wrong with that one was that he didn't floor him.

  • Richard Spencer would probably be done for hate speech in the UK, the USA has much laxer laws.

If there are no consequences to being a racist arsehole, then sometimes people get clocked.

A discussion on the lack of consequences to hate speech in the street and other forms of intimidation (some big lads shouting abuse at women in public transport for example) may be needed.

Not sure what THE solution is as plod cannot be everywhere but can imagine at some point you get fed up.

  • plod cannot be everywhere

Thank fuck, they are also to blame sometimes.

    Fed up

    With racism? Too fucking right
A bit more than fed up

  • apartheid was the law once.

anyway. fuck all these people, a knuckle supper is letting them off lightly.

  • a true classic of the genre.

    another family favourite

  • I know there are problems with structural racism, but this is more for the "we cannot punch people" comments, because ultimately if we think the state should handle it, the police are the ones that are allowed to punish/use violence.

But perhaps that is really not the way to go and we need societal solutions, don't know, like calling people out like some people do.

To clarify, I think a slap is a lot less of an issue that the toxic media/government remarks we see lately, if they can just say whatever then where is the balance and why are they so surprised some people take it as an excuse? Hate crime has gone up after the Brexit referendum.

What do you think would have helped you personally when you got abuse? Somebody to take your side and talk to you?

I've not witnessed it myself and only experienced very minor instances (Eu immigrant eh) and not witnessed it, all I can really think of is taking evidence and talking to the person affected.

  • Stone cold classic.

  • LOL at all you guys spending the afternoon saying someone who was racially abused in the street was wrong to topple the gammon bloke.

Sure he could have maybe challenged him to a battle of wits and logic, but maybe that’s not what he wanted to do with his day, and clocking him seemed a little more appropriate.

  • I don't think the state can or should handle it, societal solutions (like the one we're discussing) are possibly the right way to go.
Probably not a one size fits all solution to racial abuse on the streets, but I don't think sitting down with the victim solves the issue. Need to deal with the problem, the attacker, right?
