I've got some H+Son TB14 on BLB Hubs not exactly your dream combo but hey.

Got some nos cxp14 32h doing nothing, silver ano not polished, if you find your dream hubs in 32h ... but a track rim (clincher) so braking will be a tad rough til you wear through the ano. Sick rim though, really stiff, 30mm 90s V/toroidal shape. Can build up for you if you need, something like bladed Pillar spokes.

Also have some Royce single fixed on Ambrosio Excellence I might need to part with. Hubs shiny ano, rims halfway to shiny. Boxy rims though, and 36h. Front has some rim wear, but very minor.

They are nice! Might be a bit too schmancy. I’ve only given them a quick rub down, with a bit more careful cleaning they’ll sparkle.
Hubs have road dust cover spacers for the bearings (an extra I think), original nuts in great nick, lockring with only one tiny tool mark, threads in good nick too. Over £500 a pair these days. Bearings running like a hot knife through melted butter, and they’re the all-weather type so god knows what the low-friction ones are like.
Excellence have been destickered apart from the little black roundels. Rims in good nick and are true, built with DT Competition. A few hairline marks here and there, no gouges or dents. Front has brake wear pictured, have a spare unused Excellence if you want it too (though the finish is a slightly different ano, still a silver). They’re beautifully balanced rims, the little gold weight badge around the valve hole ensures this.
£370 with the spare rim. £320 without. I know. Mental.

As per pm: I'll pass on these.

That does look and sound nice but for that price tag I might already get pretty much exactly what I want newly build. But thanks for the pictures!

OK dude, yes you would! Pick up some DA 7600, find your fave shiny rims.

btw
Also have some Campag Record Low Flange on Campag Omega 19. Again, not really the high-flange Deep V look you seem to be after. But let me know if you wanna see them. Would probably want £200. -

Probably not the first time I've banged on about these but FWIW Kinlin's on Zenith hubs have been my favourite wheel set for the road. Lighter and nicer to ride on than DA/TB14 IMO and much less maintenance. Obviously depends who builds them but if you can get to SE London I know who I'd recommend. They do the xr31 and xr22 in all silver, if it were me I'd go for the lower profile with that spoke count. I have 28/32 laced to 22's, when the front is fully worn I'll likely get them both relaced to the silver rims as I fancy a change. I like Zenith's but not sure you'd feel a difference between any cheaper sealed bearing hubs, reckon you could build a new set for £250ish.

Hm I've read the hubs are the shit on the velodrome but for UKs sometimes gritty weather I'd prefer something with sealed bearings.

Yep good point, I've restricted them to track use since using on the road for one summer's sunday best type thing. Great hubs but as you say, need regular repacking if you're going to use them on the road a lot.

Yes! I've been looking at Kinlin rims yesterday. I thought about xr-270. They would be inbetween in height. What's your SE London address?
-

Not tried the XR-270 but from what I can see the they are a lot narrower than XR22/31 which to me which to me is one of the best features. Spend a minute in the RWR or wheelbuilding thread and someone will mention one of the latter. I'm in Sydenham and I use Arkane in Nunhead, I can pass on details if you want to chat with Martin.

Thanks! I just checked his instagram. I'll drop him a message.

I am riding an old proper track frame with tiny clearance. So maybe narrow isn't too bad.
I started to love my fixed beater so much that I am willing to throw some money at it.
So now I am looking for some nice wheels. Budget is flexible £100 - 200 but might spend more if you have something real bling for me.
Wish list:
But if you have some grey anodised H+Son TB14 on Dura Ace Hubs I am interested as well. So feel free to ignore some of the points on the wish list and show me what you got!
