Spidering questions for my S6:

1. Am I right in thinking that the Spiderings are still compatible with the cheaper non-Hollowgram SI cranks?
   
2. Am I also right in thinking that I'll look like a bit of a wally using a Spidering with the lower-end cranks, and I should just save up my pocket money until I can go all-in, or upgrade the crank arms first?
   
   

Reasons for wanting to upgrade: Aesthetics and only aesthetics.
