• I've built up a few wheel sets with rims I'd like to shift (older models).
Pics below (they're not intentionally stylised I just don't have another vice/trueingstand-free surface :)) .

Happy to put any of our Stayer decals on the plain carbon wheels, or leave 'em plain.

    1. 88mm deep clincher rim-brake double fixed rear wheel. Black zenith hub (they're really nice hubs, suuuuuper smooth and last so well), 24 Sapim CX-Ray spokes. Basalt braking surface. 1092g including rim tape. £250 SOLD
    2. 38mm fix/free clincher rim-brake wheel set. Black zenith hubs, 28/28h, Pillar PSR XTRA 1420 spokes and Sapim nipples. Basalt braking surface. 1794g including rim tape. £420
    3. DT Swiss R460 disc rims (clincher, tubeless friendly) on Novatec D771/D772sb hubs, Sapim Race spokes, 28/32h. QR front and rear but you can (or I can) change the end caps on them to thru-axle. 1786g including rim tape. £180SOLD
    4. Novatec A291/F482 hubs on 38mm tubeless friendly rim brake clincher carbon rims, 20/28h. Basalt braking surface. Pillar PSR XTRA 1420 spokes. Campag or Shimano. These have been used once. 1554g including rim tape. £350SOLD
    5. Novatec A291/F482 hubs on EVO rims, 35/45mm deep, 20/24h. Pillar PSR XTRA 1420 spokes and Sapim nipples. The rims are manufactured by Light bicycle, EVO was the 'own brand' of Evolution Imports who used to distribute Pacenti and Chris King. They're great rims. Tubeless friendly. 1506g including rim tape. £550SOLD
    6. I've also got a pair of basalt rim-brake tub rims I could build up cheap .. they're 50/60mm, 20/24h.

    Cheers!
    Judith

  • PM’d re. set no. 2!

  • Any sub-40mm carbon rims compatible with rim bakes by any chance (clinchers)?

  • set 4. Or do you mean rims only?

  • Need a fixed rear as opposed to 11-speed free hub. Because I need QR rear with rim brake and 15mm thru axle disc front I think it's going to be a custom build.

  • well, for custom stuff feel free to send me an email, I've got 1 more 38mm clincher rim set going cheaper. contact@stayercycles.com

  • I regard The Nosebeast, Judith and her wheels highly!

  • bump

  • Did you lower the prices? Can't bump without, as per the rules.

  • oh right sorry! I'll just put them up somewhere else then. Thanks

  • Anything similar to the above knocking around at Stayer Co. atm?

  • Random question, but my rear hub axle (on my carbon clincher) broke yesterday and I've had zero luck finding a replacement. The hub I've been told is made by Chosen (no markings or anything) and the axle only has '1508' stamped on in. The wheel is Shimano 11 speed, standard skewer/qr. Any ideas?

  • Possibly, similar to which one(s)?
I've got some rim brake road ones going cheap (they're on Ebay) and I was going to build up a couple more fix/free sets on older model rims but am a bit busy again all of a sudden so not v soon unless someone wants them already of course :)

  • Never heard of Chosen before, but they seem to have a website http://www.chosenhubs.com/index.php might be worth asking them ...or it might not be :S You're welcome to email some pictures if you like, maybe I'll recognise it, a lot of hub brands use the same manufacturers. contact@stayercycles.com

  • might be worth emailing Merlin Cycles https://www.merlincycles.com/contact-us.html as they sell Chosen freehubs so might be able to get spares

  • Cheers @fredtc will do :)
