Does the kit you've ordered include an SDS chuck? It looks like a standard Jacobs chuck on one drill and a 1/4" on the impact driver.
Sounds like what you need is a dedicated SDS drill and a wired one would be the best option if you are not using it that often as you'll get more reliable torque for less money.
The only bits which (so far) have made it through our plaster are SDS masonry bits, and SDS chisels.
