What we need is a National Standard for Bin Classification, ideally this would be a new topic in the Bin subforum alas a matter of such importance can't wait.
I propose:
Green: Garden & Food Waste
Brown: Paper & Card
Blue: Bottles & Cans etc
Black/Grey: all the other non recyclable shite
