  • They are nice! Might be a bit too schmancy. I’ve only given them a quick rub down, with a bit more careful cleaning they’ll sparkle.

    Hubs have road dust cover spacers for the bearings (an extra I think), original nuts in great nick, lockring with only one tiny tool mark, threads in good nick too. Over £500 a pair these days. Bearings running like a hot knife through melted butter, and they’re the all-weather type so god knows what the low-friction ones are like.

    Excellence have been destickered apart from the little black roundels. Rims in good nick and are true, built with DT Competition. A few hairline marks here and there, no gouges or dents. Front has brake wear pictured, have a spare unused Excellence if you want it too (though the finish is a slightly different ano, still a silver). They’re beautifully balanced rims, the little gold weight badge around the valve hole ensures this.

    £370 with the spare rim. £320 without. I know. Mental.

  • That does look and sound nice but for that price tag I might already get pretty much exactly what I want newly build. But thanks for the pictures!
