About to order the GRX600 2x11 group. Not sure what cassette to choose. Front is 30/46.
Aim of bike is rando / long distance. Decided I wanted a 2x for those long days of road riding. Getting the 2x11 group also allows me to go 1x later, if i’d like.
Edit: will go for 11-34

Recently build this all rounder Ritchey (told) mtb shredder. Needed something it haul the baby around. Had most of the parts so easy quick job. Put some compass rat traps on it and this thing flys. Can’t believe how good the rat traps are on and off road. One of the best fun bikes I’ve ever owned. Since the lock down and no nursery Lea vally and epping have been amazing.

You need to add brakes

Yeah it’s a beaut. Nitto something or other 26mm clamp.

I thought they were 600mm but may have misremembered.

That's really nice and is exactly the kind of build I could/should replace one of my fixed bikes with. 1 1/8" Threadless as standard? I see a lot of old 1" threaded candidates about but I'd like an old school frame with the more modern standard. Does it have guard or rack mounts?

That is rowdy

Very clean!

That’s exactly what I did, lessened down on the fixed. It’s a 1 1/8 threadless. All mordern tubes so can’t be that old. Unfortunately no rack mounts but I’m always up for a huge back pack

Nice build, looks fun!

Cheers, it just looks simple and fun to me. I'm limiting myself to three bikes these days and during lockdown one road and two fixed seems a bit stoopid. I'm just a bit worried I might like the comfort and practicality too much!

Nah, think you’ll be fine. they all bring something to the table.

What, am I not allowed to ride brakeless fixies anymore? No, I know. I just didn't want to faff about setting it up when I am going to change the bar, I only went out round the block.

No the law changed after a lady got killed by a single speed bike that had no brakes.
I think the law said a minimum off a front brake on fixed wheel and 2 brakes on freewheel -

the law changed
No it didn't, it just got enforced in one particularly notorious case.

single speed bike that had no brakes
That does sound pretty dangerous to be fair.

I got a old one
@ColinTheBald will be a along in a minute to tell us that a bike with Weinmann 500s is technically brakeless anyway 🙂
Yup, madness...
The best time to pop by is 8 to 10 when most are just about to set off for a ride and get lunch after!
In all days this week other than Thursday.
