What’s the rest of the message on the hat?

Excellent. I have a couple of those, they’re still brilliant for everything, especially for persuading older bike parts to comply

Does anyone remember watercolour challenge?
I might do a lockdown version this weekend. That can be my attempt at a painting. I have my small travel set and one brush, which is what I take on trips.Back before I got a proper job I used to amuse myself with acrylic and inks as my preferred media. I kind of wish I had some of that around as its a lot of fun.

Go for it.. I have a similar kit.. never used until a few weeks back when I saw this thread..

I used to do quite a lot of watercolor, for travel sketches etc. But not done for ages. My kit is dialed to what I used to like, but feel it could do with tweaking a bit, not sure I need 3 yellows...

There's always room for 3 yellows @AWu-Tang #respectthewu
Hobbycraft are delivering and have pretty good stock/deals at the moment. Just had a delivery of canvases, acrylics and gesso come around 7 days from order, all around 40% off.

That's a hole I don't need to go down right now.... But a quick browse can't hurt. Right?
Also the emerald green isn't what I'd choose now...

Just noticed there's a mini brush in there too, so I have 2 brushes.

Nice! I usually paint with 3 yellows, 2 reds, 3 blues and white - acrylic though.
Post some watercolours if you get round to it - I'm totally new to it but given everything now and how packable it is, might be good way to combine cycling and art! -

I'm proposing that BIClength becomes the standard unit of measurement for the Covid Art Club.

Well, that took a bit longer than I expected. Forgot how slow I am at painting but love doing it even if for mixed results. Also didn’t have and white acrylic so used household undercoat as a lot of this is built up like glazes with thin washes of paint.
Small still life of bits and pieces.

Ace.
Ill post something in a bit, Nothing seemed to come together well. -

Interesting.
At first I couldn't decide if the image is on the inside of a tray, the outside of a tray, or a flat piece of well executed trompe l’Oeil. Shadow on the wall eventually decided it. Probably.
In other news - MrsE has given me her previously hidden 'spare' Cotman water colour pocket box: brace yourselves for novice daubings in pale shades over the coming days. -

Spoiler alert. Inside of a tray :)
-
• #575
My brain is really, really struggling to see that as the inside of a tray, in spite of the shadow evidence of the surrounding brick work telling me that it isn't.
4 years at art college wasted.
Some sterling work on this thread.
Thank you so much to those who have contributed.
Did this while in a zoom meeting today.. it's off my hat which I took off for the meeting..
