Sky lanterns are shit, fireworks also a bit shit but I have to say I kind of miss them - fireworks are totally banned here after a) one burnt down the CCTV building in Beijing and b) there was a stampede on NYE in Shanghai and loads of people died.
I'm writing this with a mask on my chin, feel kinda guilty but I have to balance compulsory mask wearing with breathing and being able to drink coffee.
