We had a volley of fireworks last week on my street. Le sigh.
Also, I swear it's getting longer each week as people don't want to be the first to turn tail and close their doors for fear of being the least fawning towards the NHS.
I was making tea at 8 and couldn't bring myself to drop everything to go and do it. Am I less of an upstanding citizen now?

More stomach wrenching than the clapping itself is the gradual big dick contest opening up with pans and whistles. How long until air horns ?the fact that people have stopped clapping in the hopes of being louder than their neighbours shows how vacuous and performative it has become
