  • I'm being bombarded with Yema on instagram at the moment. The DLC version of the above caught my eye as well, but thankfully I got slightly put off by the roundel at 6 and crown, and I'm not convinced by the minute hand / fonts.

I quite like the Navygraf too as it's a bit different- 640 euros after 15% discount... https://eu.yema.com/products/yema-navygraf-heritage-ynav2019-am

  • Sorry -I meant in that picture it could have been a new strap i.e. perhaps the spring bars did fail

  • Ah yeah that's true

  • I'd keep that and wear it as is, if it still functioned, as a proper response to all the safe dwelling investment ones. In fact that's one of the first Rolexes I've really liked. Only works as a wearer if it was me that had smashed it up though. I wouldn't be buying one if Rolex did a 'Heritage Accident Series'.

Yeah. That's nice. Tall, but nice.

  • You and me both!!

I really love a well lived in watch. That is epic. I'd have the movement replaced, maybe the hands like @sumo said, lightly polish the crystal.

  • Cartier kind of did...

  • If that Rolex has been dragged across the road as much as it looks like he's lucky not to be degloved by it. Sometimes better to have a springbar snap!

  • At $1600 aud I don't like the yema French airfoce superman that much.

The navygraf is good, always look at it just not sure about the orange and yellow combo or the 19mm lug width.

  • Have those lugs been polished?

  • Yes I felt the same about the yellow and orange, looks quite shit in the photo

  • Any suggestions for a strap source as close to the pic below as possible? Mid brown shaggy suede preferably without too obvious stitching - I think the one below is possibly a Hodinkee.

  • I don't trust a company that advertises on socia media so heavily.

  • Just going where the eyeballs are.

    But yeah

  • Why trust them any less than someone like Rolex or Omega who advertise on huge billboards outside airports? Advertising on Instagram is likely the most cost effective way for them to get their name out there. Obviously not an apples to oranges comparison but unsure why advertising location for an established brand really matters.

I personally like what Yema are doing. Yes, I think they're a little pricey but I like the watches themselves.

  • I don't know I just trust it less. I think it's because dodgy companies are more likely to only do social media adverts and have no presence anywhere else because they're not real. With companies advertising on billboards and the like, it's about brand recognition rather than "this item = this price".

  • 20% off at Momentum with code MOM at the moment. Just recieved this. Is the dial rotated anticlockwise slightly or an I imagining it?

  • G-Shock bingo? Probably too many models to make a board with...

  • G-Shock blingo would be a smaller board

  • It does look slightly rotated but if you'd not mentioned it I would have presumed it was the photo.

Whats the rest of the watch like? I'd never heard of the company but, potential out-of-alignment-face aside, I quite like the look of it and the fact that it's Ti. I've been toying with the idea of getting Citizen's version of this for a while.

  • It seems really nicely made, sapphire glass, citizen (I think) movement, quality strap, screw down crown, 100m WR. Fairly plain but is a field watch so that's what I wanted. It's a blatant copy of the Citizen, but about half the price. Lumed face is decent and I hear they have great customer service - I've just messaged them about the face so I'll see if that's true! The parent company has been around since the early 80s, they seem to have a very good reputation on watch forums.

One thing worth noting was that although I bought it on the EU website it still shipped from Canada so I don't know what the deal is with returns. They do use a UK service centre though. Ordered Wednesday night and arrived Monday by FedEx with no VAT bill. As they are assembled to order in Vancouver I thought this was very quick

  • I really like that, but I would cuz I've got the Citizen version...

What does the case back look like?
