that pomp (well, the frame at least) guided me to becoming the north west's 24th best CX rider in 2018-2019 so have some actual respect amey. Jesus i'm in tears here. i thought I'd add that your vaping/bitcoin comment about dammit's hat represents another candidate for post of the year so thank you for that

i live within putting distance of Europe's premier municipal golf course and insist we take advantage. I'll drive us

^ that's actually a very funny joke because 'drive' is the name of one of the moves you can do in golf

I’ve got a Baby blue Pomp, think it’s a V1, with 135mm rear hub spacing. (Frame and most other bits bought from a selection of very nice people on this forum. ). I’m trying to run it as a SSCX over the summer, but am struggling with punctures and track wheels that are not really up to the job. Ideally I want some off the shelf tubeless ready clincher wheels with 135 OLD. However that would appear to be impossible unless I go custom, which would basically quadruple the cost of the entire build. Any idea folks?

Heaton Park? FWIW Altrincham Municipal is a flat 'n fast pb course. I've hit over 100 there both times I played.

Are you set up single speed or fixed?
If the former look at cheap 29er mtb wheels. Huge second hand market for these.
For fixed, there are options; eg Surly Ultra New come in 135old. Maybe find a 29er wheelset and rebuild rear with new hub.

Or use a 6 bolt sprocket

Single speed flip flop at moment. I had thought of that but most MTB wheels are disk brake so how would that work with clincher V Brakes? Suppose I could just pretend there was a braking surface?

Just seen them on Velo solo - interesting!

Any reason for the genetic recommendation or would any do.
Just 'cos it is what I use, I guess others could do the job.
Crappy pic alert

That's another gear hungry activity judging by the trailer barrows that get wheeled to the local pond here. So much cammo too.

i feel there's a very fine line between those kind of blokes and the american lads who buy objects online from places with 'tactical' in the name
