Begs the question - to me anyway - what was going on 20 years ago?
I know that, really, this has passed into common parlance and is therefore probably an accetpable use of the phrase, but this is the internet, so:
That is not what "Begs the question" means. You could say "Raises the question" instead and not ever be bothered by twats like me again.
That's my 'learn something every day'. Unless you count the fact I now know my 2.4GHz wifi is operating on Ch13.
