Basically anything is better quality for the price. The Victorinox with fibrox handles are impossible to beat for the money, but then they're not fancy Japanese steel with wooden handles so less desirable for home cooks.
These are what I use in the kitchen for work. Hold sharpness well and easy to sharpen. Plus I don’t mind too much if someone borrows one and puts it through the dishwasher.
Yeah I used to too, well some cheaper copies. In the kitchen before that we used massive Chinese cleavers for everything apart from pairing and Sushi, it worked pretty well.
