I was just reading an article last night asking if there ever was a golden age for hi-fi and the guy said that it's basically now except that there's no market for it.
So I'm thinking cool, if my HK goes down permanently I can always replace it and the new component will be even better!
Then he links to some current examples and I see $10,000 speakers and $5000 recievers...
