I really love a well lived in watch. That is epic. I'd have the movement replaced, maybe the hands like @sumo said, lightly polish the crystal.
I'd keep that and wear it as is, if it still functioned, as a proper response to all the safe dwelling investment ones. In fact that's one of the first Rolexes I've really liked. Only works as a wearer if it was me that had smashed it up though. I wouldn't be buying one if Rolex did a 'Heritage Accident Series'.
